Aretha Franklin
Our Story
Aretha`s salute to Princeton Entertainment`s 32 years of creating and touring groundbreaking concert productions was greatly appreciated. Princeton’s producing signature is the creation of innovative productions often combining orchestras and the talents of popular recording artists and entertainment franchises with new elements. Princeton’s tours appeal to cross-generational audiences and reach five continents. Over our history, our clients, touring productions, and co-producers have included Andrea Bocelli, Justin Timberlake, Cher, Aretha, James Taylor, Harry Belafonte, Idina Menzel, Joan Rivers, Linda Ronstadt, Liza Minnelli, Julie Andrews, Christopher Plummer, John Williams, Charlotte Church, Denyce Graves, Raul Esparza, Sir James Galway, Marvin Hamlisch andJohn Lithgow to name but a few. We have produced the major orchestras of Detroit, Baltimore, Vancouver, San Diego, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, and New York, as well as the Royal Philharmonic, the National Symphony Orchestra, and the Orchestra of St. Luke’s.
In 2020, Princeton Entertainment expanded to become Princeton Entertainment Group (PEG), a new partnership between Judson Green, former President of Disney Theme Parks, Joyce Green, an arts patron and philanthropist, Mark McCoy, a former University President, and Ed Kasses, Founder of Princeton Entertainment. Princeton Entertainment Group expands our ability to create new touring productions for the global market and new streaming and broadcast opportunities based on world class entertainment and lifestyle media franchises. That expansion brings Laura Savini, producer and on-air personality for PBS and other media, to lead our TV and streaming division. Laura also shares her music business, publishing, branding and touring experience with the company. Chase Fullen manages our Princeton office.
Princeton is often called upon as premier consultants in the Performing Arts Center community to guide popular programming, marketing, and management functions. We currently serve as the primary consultant for the multi-venue Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts in Orlando, culminating with the opening of Steinmetz Hall and the Green Room. Our clients and associates include: The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Playhouse Square Center, Pittsburgh Cultural Trust, Bethel Woods, Blue Hills Bank Pavilion, Jiffy Lube Live Pavilion, The Flint Center, Sunrise Theater, Shea’s Performing Arts Center, the Warner Theater, the Majestic Theatre San Antonio, MacGillivray Freeman Films, 3D Live and others.
We are often the first to recognize a new superstar, and with that vision, produced Andrea Bocelli’s first concert in the United States and first five tours of North and South America, selling out arenas and amphitheaters across continents. Bocelli’s performances for Princeton rank among Pollstar Magazine’s highest grossing concert tours in history.
Princeton produced Aretha Franklin’s performance at the 44th Inauguration of President Barack Obama and Tony Award winner Idina Menzel’s PBS Special Barefoot at the Symphony and her subsequent North American concert tour. We also served as Executive Producer for all concert events affiliated with the dedication of the National Memorial honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in Washington, DC, featuring Stevie Wonder.
We produced fundraising concerts for UNICEF featuring Nana Mouskouri, the best-selling female artist in history with sales of over 350 million units, on three continents and produced Royal Command performances in London and Madrid as well as performances for heads of state around the globe. Our producing and presenting partners have included The White House, Saturday Night Live, Universal Music, Carnegie Hall, and UNICEF.
Now in production on the groundbreaking television show, “COMFORT,” we aim to improve personal comfort across generations. The series conveys the many benefits associated with living more comfortably by improving overall health, happiness, and well-being.
